FAQ

We stock MS pipes starting from 1 inch nominal diameter with wall thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 4 mm, corresponding to a 15 mm nominal bore for standard plumbing and industrial applications. Our inventory covers both MS black pipe (ERW welded) and seamless pipe variants in this size profile, sourced from premier brands including Jindal, Tata, and Nezone. For projects requiring non-standard dimensions, we can source custom sizes on request, including larger diameters up to 12 inches and alternative wall thicknesses for specific pressure requirements. We recommend consulting with our technical team to determine the optimal pipe specification for your installation conditions, as the choice between black and seamless variants directly affects applicable pressure ratings, joining methods, and overall system longevity.

We supply MS pipes from leading Indian steel brands including Jindal, Tata, and Nezone, each known for consistent quality and full compliance with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specifications. Jindal pipes are recognized for their dimensional accuracy and superior surface finish, making them suitable for visible installations where appearance matters. Tata pipes offer excellent weldability and consistent mechanical properties across production batches, making them the trusted choice for critical infrastructure projects. Nezone provides reliable, cost-effective options for general industrial applications without compromising on core quality standards. Every brand we stock undergoes incoming inspection to verify wall thickness, straightness, tensile strength, and material certification before dispatch.

Black pipe, also known as ERW electric resistance welded pipe, is manufactured by forming a flat steel strip into a tubular shape and welding the longitudinal seam. It is suitable for general applications including water supply, structural framing, compressed air lines, and low-pressure steam systems, with typical working pressure ratings up to 300 PSI depending on the schedule selected. Seamless pipe, in contrast, is produced by piercing a solid steel billet and rolling it into a tube without any welded joint, completely eliminating the seam that represents the weakest point in welded pipe. This manufacturing process gives seamless pipe superior strength, uniformity, and pressure-holding capability, making it the preferred choice for high-pressure applications such as hydraulic systems, boiler tubes, and oil and gas transmission lines where operating pressures can exceed 1,000 PSI.
